In his book, Simple Principles to Enjoy Life and Be Happy, Alex Lluch and his colleague, Dr Helen Eckmann offer 200 simple principles for happiness.
The book is a smooth read, it’s format of lists and short descriptions remind me of those daily affirmation books, only there are only 200 of these. Principle one is to minimize the amount of time you spend thinking of your flaws.
This too, is a common theme among happiness dwellers and self-help authors. It seams our outward mood is impacted by our inner thoughts, makes sense to me….. So, if we spend time thinking about how fat our thighs are, how messy the house is, how bad our kids are, how much money we dont make, etc, we sure do spend a lot of time thinking about what makes us miserable, of course we are going to walk around miserable.
